Studies on the factors affecting agricultural trade between China and Africa are of practical significance to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of their agricultural cooperation and to strengthen the strategic outcome of China's "one belt, one road" strategy. Firstly, this paper posits research hypotheses considering six aspects—economic scale, geographical and demographic factors, natural resource endowment, the level of agricultural science and technology, political factors, and exchange rate factors—and then performs an empirical analysis based on an extended gravity model by using data on China from the UN COMTRADE and other data on 58 Africa countries from 2010 to 2019. The results indicate that China's GDP, African countries' GDP, the years of education of the African population, the average arable land per capita of African countries and the renewable water resources per capita in Africa have positive effects on the trade flow of agricultural products between China and Africa. Geographical distance and China's exchange rate have a negative impact on trade flow. The impact of the human capital index of China and the "one belt, one road" policy are not significant. Next, in order to analyze the impact of these factors on different regions of Africa, this paper uses sub samples to test the regional heterogeneity and discusses the relevant issues. Finally, some countermeasures are put forward: the top-level design and overall layout of bilateral cooperation should be consolidated, the stereoscopic traffic network construction of bilateral trade should be accelerated, and the upgrading of agricultural technology should also be accelerated.

Embroidery and weaving techniques are part of the cultural heritage and are the fruit of human civilisation. With the improvement of the technical level of the embroidery machine manufacturing industry, the global embroidery Market in 2022 has reached 7.35 billion US dollars, growing by 10.18% year-on-year, making it an economic research field. In this paper, we used WOS databases to search core papers and CiteSpace, a knowledge graph analysis tool, to determine the current status and trends of research in embroidery from 2010 to 2022. Based on the screened articles, the number of publications, research authors and institutions, keyword co-occurrences, and changes in highlighted words were analyzed in this study. The results showed that China, the United States, and the United Kingdom are the leading researchers in embroidery. Chinese scholars have had an interdisciplinary trend recently and have begun to publish abroad actively. The results of these studies have provided an opportunity for scholars in the field of embroidery to study the cultural connotation and innovative design of embroidery. These results point out the direction for scholars in the field of embroidery research and innovation, identify the shortcomings of each in the current situation of research in China and overseas, find a sustainable path for the development of embroidery craft, and promote the exchange and mutual appreciation of civilizations.

<p class="P1">Unexploded sub munitions for military operations posed economic loss and health hazard. The need for unexploded sub munitons to be rendered safe after a certain period of time was of importance to the militaty. In this work, a self-neutralizing sub-component using soft metal penetration principle was developed and incorporated to the existing sub munitions so as to include a self-neutralizing feature in such sub munitions. This study was also conducted to determine the potential to use a steel wire to cut BI-Pb-Sn-Cd alloy at different temperatures (-40 °C~40 °C). The effect of temperature on neutralisation time was evaluated in experiments. The experimental results indicated that the neutralisation time was dependent on temperature of soft metal and decreased with increasing temperature. While BI-Pb-Sn-Cd alloy with thickness of 0.75±0.01 mm and height of 2.40 ±0.02 mm was cut by steel wire with a diameter of 0.12 mm, self-neutrlisation of sub munitions was completed ranging from 1min5s to 143 h 2 min. It was concluded that self-neutralisation based on BI-Pb-Sn-Cd alloy could meet its setting requirements in the battlefield, and its failure rate reached less than 10% at between -40 °C and 40 °C, and the self-neutralisation time could be adjusted by the size of soft metal.</p>

Purpose
This paper aims to investigate how relative contractual and relational governances impact seller's value appropriation via buyer's trust, perceived justice and opportunism in the context of industrial buyer–seller relationships.


Design/methodology/approach
Survey data from 232 matched buyer-seller dyads of Chinese business-to-business (B2B) firms was used to test the conceptual model and research hypotheses. The confirmatory factor model and structural equation model were tested by using Lisrel 8.80.


Findings
The findings show that relative contractual governance and relative relational governance have opposite consequences on B2B relationship and value outcomes. Relative contractual governance generates higher level of buyer's opportunist behavior because it reduces buyer's trust and perceived justice, therefore harms seller's value appropriation. By contrast, relative relational governance enhances buyer's trust and perceived justice, therefore curbs buyer's opportunism and improves seller's value appropriation.


Originality/value
This study makes significant contributions to theory development of value appropriation and inter-firm governance mechanism by extending dyadic view to network view. It proposes the concept of relative governance and explores its role in shaping a business partner's perception and behavior. It also provides insightful implications for B2B companies on capturing more benefits from the relationship with buyers by leveraging relative governance strategies.

Existing studies find that exploratory innovation requires both access to heterogeneous resources for the establishment of novel knowledge combinations and high-quality cooperation to strengthen the absorption of heterogeneous knowledge. Therefore, structural holes and prominent positions exert critical effects on exploratory innovation. Few existing studies have investigated the influences of the two positions on exploratory innovation simultaneously. This study aims to identify the influence of network positions on exploratory innovation and the contingency mechanism. Basing on joint patent filing relationships identification belong to IPC Green Inventory, R&D collaboration networks in China consisted of 215 firms in the technological field of low-carbon energy were constructed. Negative binomial regression was used to analyse the influences of networks positions on exploratory innovation and the moderating effect of network density. Results reveal that network prominence and structural holes have inverted U-shaped effects on exploratory innovation. The simultaneous occupation of prominent positions and structural holes hinders exploratory innovation. Network density exerts positive and negative effects on the relationships between network prominence and exploratory innovation and between structural holes and exploratory innovation, respectively. The conclusions drawn in this study provide a reference for R&D network structural optimization toward exploratory innovation.

We report the infrasonic performance of a fiber optic laser frequency reference with potential application to space-based gravitational wave detectors, such as the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna. We determine the optimum cross-over frequency between an optical frequency comb stabilized to a Rubidium atomic reference and two passive, all-fiber interferometers interrogated using digitally enhanced homodyne interferometery. By measuring the relative stability between the three independent optical frequency references, we find the optimum cross-over frequency to occur at 1.5 mHz, indicating that our passive fiber frequency reference is superior to the optical frequency comb at all higher frequencies. In addition, we find our fiber interferometers achieve a stability of 20 kHz/√Hz at 1.5 mHz, improving to a stability of 4 Hz/√Hz above 3 Hz. These results represent an independent characterization of digitally enhanced fiber references over long time scales and provide an estimate of thermal effects on these passively isolated systems, informing future reference architectures. ; This research is supported by an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship.
